Iglass art comes from a long historical tradition that families have passed down from generation to generation. THE Murano jewelry are realized bead by bead by hand with the flame of a blowtorch.
A first layer of transparent glass is melted in the flame, then the Golden leaf is delicately placed in the center of the pearl, which is then decorated with colored glass.
Glass dichroic is produced using a process of heating glass in a vacuum chamber. Once the vacuum is created, metals are sprayed onto the glass. The color varies depending on the metal used.
There color reflected by the glass on its surface may be completely different from that reflected when light passes through the glass.
There dichroic color applied to black glass will reflect all light giving a metallic color. The same dichroic color applied to clear glass will absorb the light and reflect it back in a rainbow. A silver foil orgold placed inside a pearl will accentuate its color or shine.
The clear glass then covers the pearl which gives it great depth. THE beads are then arranged and strung on hollow gold mesh. The attachment of the jewel is in plated metal gold or money according to creation.
The jewelry offered by our master glassmaker uses this technique which still exists on the island of Murano and is very attached to the ancestral values of quality, creativity and beauty. We were blown away by their beauty and their quality and we offer them to you on our SunTradition website.
This quality being unique, a Murano artistic glass label was created to guarantee customers the fruit of a thousand-year-old tradition.
