One of the most common techniques is the "Sommerso", which literally means "immersed" in Italian. This technique is used to create multiple layers of glass (usually with contrasting colors may be different) within the same object, giving the illusion of colors "disposed of", which are superimposed without mixing. To do this, we uniting the different layers of the glass by the heat and immerse repeatedly into a pot of colored glass melted. This technique is quite recognizable : it is characterized by an outer layer of colourless glass and thick layers of colored glass to the inside, as if a large drop of color had been captured inside the transparent glass. When we see these objects for the first time, it seems almost impossible to conceive of color as beautiful are so perfectly encased in what appear to be solid glass, and it starts then no doubt wonder how we managed to make a game of shapes and colors also complex in the middle of an object made of transparent glass.
